About P.U.N.T.

P.U.N.T. Pediatric cancer collaborative is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) that provides families in Western New York facing pediatric cancer with critical programs that offer financial, practical and emotional support from diagnosis to recovery and bereavement. P.U.N.T. operates with collaboration and guidance from community hospital partners to ensure that every dollar raised gets channeled where it is most needed.

Our History

The P.U.N.T. Pediatric Cancer Collaborative (Formerly P.U.N.T. Foundation) was founded as a public charity in 2004 by former NFL Pro Bowl Punter Brian Moorman, who played for the Buffalo Bills from 2001-2013, and his wife Amber. Their desire to make a difference for kids in WNY who were fighting pediatric cancer and give back to the community using Brian’s stature as a beloved pro-athlete has had a long-lasting impact for countless WNY families. The P.U.N.T. acronym stands for Perseverance, Understanding, Need and Teamwork.

With passionate staff and leadership and abiding financial support from the WNY community, P.U.N.T.’s programs have grown significantly in both scope and impact over the past ten years, making the nonprofit organization a well-respected and heavily relied upon source of assistance for local families dealing with the effects of pediatric cancer.
