Ellicottville Brewing Company Launches Specialty Brew For The P.U.N.T. Foundation
“Hang Time Pale Lager” Makes its Debut on October 12
In an effort to raise visibility and spur donations in support of the P.U.N.T. Foundation, Ellicottville Brewing Company (EBC) has created a new brew “HANG TIME Pale Lager.” The beer will be available for a limited time across Western New York in stores such as Wegmans, Tops, Consumers Beverage, as well as Premier Gourmet beginning October 12.
Founded in 2004 by former Buffalo Bills punter Brian Moorman and his wife Amber, the P.U.N.T Foundation is a public charity that currently runs 6 distinct programs to help local families affected by pediatric cancer. The non-profit currently offers an array of services and assistance including: direct financial assistance, wish-granting, special event opportunities, and bereavement support for children being treated for cancer at both Roswell Park Cancer Institute and Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.
“The entire team of EBC –from the owner to the brewer to the support staff—has channeled their tremendous talent and heart into the HANG TIME project for the families of Western New York facing the devastating effects of a pediatric cancer diagnosis,” said Brian Moorman, who played for the Buffalo Bills from 2001-2014. “The P.U.N.T. Foundation is truly fortunate that EBC has embraced the importance of this mission by choosing to put the power of their brand and partnership behind it.”
HANG TIME beer will benefit P.U.N.T. and the packaging will encourage consumers to make a personal donation by scanning the QR Code found on both the pack and bottle or by visiting https://puntpediatriccancer.org. Brian Moorman will participate in promotional events to help introduce the beer the weekend of October 17 and 18. The complete schedule follows.
“We believe strongly in the charitable services provided by the P.U.N.T. Foundation to local families. When our Head Brewer, Dan, and Buffalo Bills veteran, Brian Moorman, sat down over an EBC brew one day to discuss how we might lend support, the response was natural: Let’s do what we do best—great tasting craft beer— to help raise awareness about P.U.N.T. and all that they do. What we have here is a perfect tailgating beer, in the spirit of football, brewed for a great cause, for a great community,” said Peter Kreinheder, owner of Ellicottville Brewing Co.
